a lost propaganda tool?

Remember when Americans use to display the American flag on certain holidays, like the 4th of July, Memorial Day and June 14th, Flag Day?  Today is Flag Day.
It is also my mom's birthday.  As very little kids, mom told her children that the neighbors put out flags on June 14th to celebrate her birthday. We found this an amazing gestures. We didn't know all of the people hanging out flags for our mom. We kids outgrew mom's silly joke on us, learned that Flag Day was not about mom.

I am surprised our government leaders do not promote propaganda that urges Americans to hang out the flag on certain federal holidays. Seems to me like it would be useful in their propaganda campaigns to give power and most of this earth's bounty to the elite. Seems like failing to urge Americans to display their Americans flags is a failed propaganda opportunity.

Oh, here's a suggestion:  corporations like Monsanto, Nestle (taking water withour permits at some locations from federal lands, without paying even token permit fees sometimes), bankers and corrupt politicians could give away American flags to instill unwarranted faith in our dominator, capitalist, bullshit-free-market system.

Don't worry if you can't afford housing or food. Don't worry about Shell drilling in the Arctic or Monsanto's killer chemicals. Have a free flag.
