A friend, whose girlfriend is an artist, prints her work on the giclee press they bought when they learned how expensive it is to pay someone else to print her work.
This friend, Kenoli, told me i have a free lifetime supply of any of Sharon's work that I like.
. . . but this weekend, when I visited her studio during open studios in Richmond, CA, he said "don't say you like something, then we'll have to give it to you."
Laughing I said "What about my free lifetime supply?" Happy laughter.
And then I said "It's not fair to the artist to tell me I can't speak admiringly of her work. do you really want me to not tell Sharon I like her work?"
Happinesss all around. These are two lovely people. and so am I.
