Crazy love of things.
I like pliars,
and scisssors.
I love
cups
rings
and bowls -
not to speak, of course,
of hats.
I love
all things,
not just
the grandest,
also
the infinite
ly
small-
thimbles,
spurs,
plates,
and flower vases.

I did my undergraduate honors thesis on Neruda. I was a fiery feminist but it did not occur to me to do the thesis on a chick poet. Times have changed since 1975.
I love all things, too, by the way. All of them.
